Technological Gap, Long Tail and the Elections in USA

Obama is still ahead while Clinton has reduced distance. Their profiles are quite different, and so are their voters. Obama (46) is winning Clinton (60) mainly via Internet.

Barack has more fans among the young people, who are more connected. This is not only helping him in blog communication, and with the creation of the Obama-Super-Girl. The effect is more important: money. The Long Tail demonstrates that on the Internet less is more. A big amount of little amounts can be bigger than the traditional model. This is what is happening on the fund raising. Obama got an incredible 197,3M$ against the 173,9M$ from Clinton. And Clinton has bet a lot of her own money to get to this figure. The reason is clear. Small amounts from normal people are to Obama. Clinton has the help of his Husband Bill to raise the big tickets.

The technological gap between generations and the long tail are with Obama. Good luck candidates
